The Republican National Committee tries to convert me using Hitleresque imagery

I guess the Republican National Committee thinks that I should not vote for Obama and should vote for the Dinosaur McCain. I think they chose an interesting Image to uses on the front of their mailer. The very first thing that I thought of when I saw it was how much it looked like propaganda from Nazi Germany. I understand that they are going for an image of strength and pride and that the image of Hitler is not the image they had hoped to bring to mind.

If you are eligible to vote. Please do it. Your country needs your help. Stand up. Be heard.

With the election coming up soon everyone needs to be registered. If you are eligible to vote please, please go register. Every vote counts. Unless you are in Florida. Going by past elections Florida’s votes are bought and sold or all together throw away and then new votes are made up.

We as a people need to stand up and make sure that our government will talk to us like adults, not talk down to us like children which is what the last 8 years have been like. They tell us things because we can’t handle it. We don’t have our big boy pants on. I think we all know how well that has gotten us.

Do the right thing. Vote for someone who has more going for them than they were a prisoner of war and has a side kick who is nothing more than a piece of ass. If you think about it, does the fact that he was a prisoner of war mean he wasn’t very good at his job?

I just want to know that something will change; Anything. We can’t take the same ideas and policies that we have had for the last 8 years. It doesn’t work.

Vote-scam fliers target black philadelphia neighborhoods

This is crazy. I would say its a new low for the GOP but it isn’t The GOP has stepped up to the plate once again and swung for the fences. According to the Philadelphia Daily News there has been an anonymous filer being passed around some black neighborhoods in philadelphia warning residents that there will be undercover officers arresting people with outstanding warrants.

I guess the Republican plan has changed to keep people from voting so they have a chance of pulling off a win in this election. I wonder if they are still holding that Diebold card up their sleeve. If you can’t win an election by votes on your own and you don’t have friends to help you buy or rig the election there really is only one answer.

Keep the other side from voting there by making your sides votes count for more.

If by some chance the republicans do win, I wonder how long it will take before we get a knock on the door from the gestapo asking us for our papers.

Joe Biden Shows True Real Paternal Love

When I saw Joe Biden become visibly chocked up when offering his rebuttal to the idea that as a man he could not understand what it was like to wonder if your child would recover from a life threatening situation I saw something you don’t see everyday from politicians. I saw real, true emotion. I was not sure what caused Joe Biden to choke up so I ran to Wikipedia and found this.

Biden’s wife and year-old daughter were killed in an automobile accident while Christmas shopping inHockessin, Delaware on December 18, 1972.[2]

Thinking back to this is what I think caused him to become choked up. I think he did more to bring both men and women to his side by showing real paternal love for a child. A man showing real true love for a child isn’t something you see every day in America. As Americans we sometimes fall back into the 1950s mind set of “Man go to work; Make money; Provide for family, Women stay home; Care for children”.

As a new father I know the love I feel for my daughter and while I may not agree with Joe Biden on his stance about somethings, mainly net neutrality, his pro-RIAA stance and Internet taxes, I do sincerely appreciate his openness and seemingly transparent display of a strong man showing love for his family.

democrats argue over texas delegates

I was listening to The Bryant Park Project and hearing about the democratic party freaking out about how Texas will be split. This is craziness. The democrats as a whole need to stop with the bickering and start talking about real issues.

2008 has to be one of the, if not the easiest elections to have a democrat elected. You have the war in Iraq, the economy that has been driven into the ground and national health care as big issues just to name a few. With all of that and the growing disapproval of president Bush it would be very very difficult for a democrat to lose this election.

The democratic party has to understand that America as a whole is afraid of having a black guy or a woman as President. I’m not saying that it will not happen but I do think that lots of Americans are at least still racist at heart. America likes to vote for old white men. There is a proven record of that.

I hope the bickering quites down soon and we can start to get to real issues. That may be too much to ask though.

After all, in the 2004 elections I would have voted for an inanimate object over Bush but we see how well that election went.
